Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
Softiviti Inc. (“Softiviti,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and retain personal information through softiviti.com (the “Site”) and our related contact channels.
Softiviti Inc. is an Ottawa-based Canadian parent company that builds, organizes, and supports operating brands in automation, digital commerce, and natural products. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable privacy laws.
This policy is written in plain language and applies to the Site only. Our operating brands run their own websites and services under their own policies (see Section 6).
1. Information we collect
We collect limited information, and only when you choose to contact us through the Site. This may include:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your inquiry type (general, partnership, press, or career);
- your company name, if you provide it;
- the contents of your message; and
- basic technical information normally transmitted when any website is accessed — such as browser type, device information, and general traffic data — recorded in standard server logs used to operate and secure the Site.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the Site, and we do not use technical information to identify you personally or to build a profile of you.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiry;
- manage business, partnership, press, career, and general communications;
- maintain the security and reliability of the Site;
- understand aggregate website traffic patterns;
- keep appropriate business records; and
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
3. Consent
We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent, except where the law permits or requires us to act without it. By submitting the contact form, you consent to our use of the information you provide to respond to and manage your inquiry. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting us — though withdrawing consent may prevent us from responding to an open request.
4. Contact form submissions
When you submit the contact form, your message is delivered directly to our business email inbox. Contact form submissions are not stored in a database on the Site. We use the information in your message only for reasonable business purposes connected to your inquiry.
5. Cookies and analytics
The Site is designed to be privacy-conscious. It does not use advertising cookies or behavioural or cross-site tracking. We may use cookieless or privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as page visits and general traffic patterns. If we later add cookies, advertising tools, or more detailed analytics, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.
6. Operating brands
Softiviti Inc. is the parent company for a group of operating brands. Brand names and websites referenced on the Site may be owned, operated, or managed by Softiviti Inc. unless otherwise stated. Our operating brands may have their own websites, products, services, checkout systems, customer accounts, newsletters, and policies. If you interact with an operating brand’s website, that brand’s privacy policy — not this one — applies to that interaction.
7. How we disclose information
We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only when reasonably necessary, including:
- to service providers who help us operate the Site, email systems, hosting, security, or business tools, and who are permitted to use it only to provide their services to us;
- to professional advisors, such as accountants, lawyers, or consultants;
- to an operating brand within the Softiviti group, where relevant to your inquiry;
- to comply with applicable law, legal process, or regulatory requirements;
- to protect the rights, property, security, or operations of Softiviti, our users, or others; or
- with your consent.
8. Third-party websites
The Site may link to other websites, including our operating brands’ websites and external platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of third-party websites. You should review the privacy policy of any external website you visit.
9. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and disclosure. No website, email system, or internet transmission is completely secure, however, so you should avoid sending highly sensitive information through the contact form.
10. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy — including responding to inquiries, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, and complying with legal obligations — after which it is deleted or anonymized. Email correspondence may be retained as part of our normal business email records.
11. Access, correction, and deletion
Subject to legal, security, and business-record requirements, you may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
12. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for general business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Site.
13. International processing
Some service providers we use may process or store information outside Ontario or outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is processed or stored, including lawful access by courts and authorities there. Where we use such providers, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives a comparable level of protection.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Where a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate.
15. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, please contact us through the contact form on the Site.
